Copenhagen’s renowned design and style festival 3daysofdesign was held very last week, bringing with it tons of design news from my favorite Danish manufacturers. For Kristina Dam Studio the exhibition also marked its 10-12 months anniversary, and an option to showcase special artworks and sculptures along with new designs. The inspiring presentation took spot within the apartment of vogue maven Kim Grenaa, owner of Grenaa Innovative & Grenaa Imaginative Residing, situated in the backyard of a historic manufacturing facility in the centre of Copenhagen.
The new Define Desk was the focus of the studio’s anniversary exhibition. Born from a longing for a minimal still critical place that pillars forward-contemplating and outward-looking, the structure exudes craft and humility with architectural clarity and grace. Thoughtfully developed, the desk options understated aspects that expose them selves on closer inspection. Sleek traces produce a graphic interplay of steel frames that holds the good oak tabletop and drawers, supplying the Define Desk a vintage but modern appear.
Bundled in the 2022 3daysofdesign exhibition were just one-of-a-variety paintings and sculptures created by Brand name and Design Director Kristina Dam. A stand out for me, the unbelievable and unique black Stool Sculpture is manufactured of flaws from the Stool manufacturing, giving new life to leftover items with minor imperfections.
