Cole and Son wallpaper is taking us on a trip to Spain. The London-based brand is one of the world’s most popular, and its new Seville collection is already making waves. Earlier this year, the collection launched in the United Kingdom – and to much acclaim. Later this year, it will officially launch in the US. Luckily, you can now shop this incredible collection on L.A. Design Concepts.
Note: You can currently purchase these products on L.A. Design Concepts, but samples are not available until the collection formally launches in the US in late 2020. The later US launch is due to pandemic-related delays. We appreciate your patience.
Cole & Son’s Seville Collection Brings Home the Beauty of Spain
The newest in a long line of beloved wallcoverings, Cole & Son’s Seville wallpaper collection is an homage to this famous city in Southern Spain. These designs are inspired by the city’s rich culture, traditions, botanicals and architecture. Each wallpaper encapsulates elaborate elements native to this picturesque metropolis.
This includes Mudejar architecture, local tilework, fruiting trees, blooming florals and opulent graphic patterns. Overall, this collection draws inspiration from the beautiful, decorative elements taken from Islamic arts, the Renaissance period, and Romanesque styles from the 13th to 18th centuries.
Cole and Son’s Creative Director, Carley Bean, designed this collection in London but seemed to pluck it from Seville’s fragrant gardens and historic city center. Innately romantic and arresting, this collection is one interior designers and consumers alike are falling in love with for obvious reasons.
From rich burnt orange to bright lime green, the color palette in this new Cole & Son wallpaper collection is vibrant and alluring. Seemingly drenched in tropical sunlight, the designs appear to chronicle the region’s rainbow of lush botanicals, remarkable architecture and enriched culture. To us, the Seville collection evokes an afternoon siesta spent traversing the streets and gardens of Seville.
Cole & Son wallpaper is distributed in the US by the renowned Kravet Inc. Per Kravet’s Vice President of Sales, Nicholas Lomangino: “There are so many beautiful designs, but I have a personal affinity for ‘Lola’ and ‘Alfaro.’ ‘Lola’ is an ornate damask with a hidden Flamenco dancer, synonymous with Seville as the birthplace of Flamenco [dancing]. Second is ‘Alfaro,’ thought to be the inspiration for the balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet.”
Cole & Son Seville is a uniquely brilliant collection that now brings the allure, vibrance and history of Southern Spain into homes around the world.
