Gentle beige and greige melds waft airily through this light and elegant family home design, where modern furniture pieces lay out a fashion-forward scene. Visualised by Benjie Space Design, this stylish space features a welcoming open plan living room with smoothly rounded stucco detailing and made-to-measure storage furniture. The master bedroom features a bespoke wardrobe design with a lightweight essence, which complements the minimalist bedroom aesthetic. An atmospherically lit home office is conveniently adjoined to the home gym via a sliding glass wall, where office work and daily workouts can be completed in peace. Two kid’s room designs are creatively furnished to amp up the fun factor.
A unique modern couch lays a sleek silhouette in the beige and greige living room scheme, with a large living room rug spreading soft texture beneath. Slender black living room floor lamps draw a thin line of contrast behind the sofa that draws the eye upward.
A channel-tufted stool stylishly complements the tone and texture of the ridged area rug. The TV wall features a bespoke cabinet design, which ends in a curved edge that runs perfectly in line with the wall stucco. A travertine hearth underlines wood slatted detail and open bookshelves to achieve a modern decorative finish.
The travertine element is repeated in a chic oval coffee table, which provides a central focal point in the lounge. A small wooden side table is teamed with a unique lounge chair to fashion a comfortable reading nook by the bookcase.
The light living room rug helps to zone the open plan lounge from an adjacent kitchen diner area.
The stone dining table is integrated into a matching stone-topped kitchen island. Contemporary dining pendant lights hang in a duo above.
A couple of coffee table books and a decorative bowl make a simple dining table centrepiece.
The wooden dining chairs are the Easy chair (also known as the Chandigarh chair) designed by Pierre Jeanneret.
A combination of wooden wall units and rattan base units make up a mellow modern kitchen design, with stone slabs cladding the backsplash area and an accent wall.
Inside the minimalist bedroom, a clean and serene colour scheme promotes rest and relaxation. A series of elevated wardrobes float above a low-slung unit to fashion a stylish storage wall with a lightweight aesthetic. A black Eames bird makes a playful accessory inside the display nook between the upper and lower units.
Bedroom wall decor makes a stylistic link with the ridged rug and channel-tufted stool out in the living room, creating soft cohesivity throughout the home.
Opposite the end of the bed, A wood-slatted wall makes an attractive TV mount.
A unique bench stretches out in front of the decorative TV wall in a beautiful stone finish.
A modern home office is attached to the master bedroom. Behind the modern desk, a bespoke storage unit makes an eye-catching feature wall of wood-slatted detail and atmospheric LED backlighting.
A wall of sliding glass doors links the home office to a home gym area.
The workout area is a small covered balcony, with ample space for an exercise bike that is positioned to look out over the city.
The first of the two kids’ rooms features a fun headboard design and a creatively detailed focal wall with mood lighting.
A built-in desk makes a comfortable study area, whilst an unusual bookcase adds a quirky element opposite the bed.
Another fun headboard design and a cheerful bedroom rug accessorise a second modern kid’s room design. The headboard is a rich umber shade that warmly contrasts the light backdrop and matches chunky handles on a set of kid’s wardrobes.
Fluted bedside cabinets flank the sides of the double bed. An arched wall feature with pegboard-like perforations makes a decorative home for the kid’s study area. A sturdy metal desk chair tucks neatly underneath.
A white and umber chest of drawers rounds out the bedroom furniture layout with an eye-catching finish.
The guest room is a welcoming space with a wall of split storage units that match the master bedroom. A winged rattan headboard scoops cosily around the bedstead, two wooden side units and a racetrack-shaped bedroom rug. A piece of wall art is hung off-centre to balance out a slimline pendant light that descends at the opposite side of the room.
The bathroom design builds drama with a deeply tonal decor scheme of dark greige, cool grey, clean white, and warming wood tone. A unique ceramic greige bathtub commands an equally dark wet zone that encompasses the shower area. A grey bathroom stool is reminiscent of clay being spun on a potter’s wheel. A round mirror echoes the circular motif above the vanity.
A separate snug doubles as a cosy home theatre room and a piano room. A small tufted sofa faces onto a retractable projector screen and a shapely media shelving unit that is fashioned out of smooth creamy travertine. A small but eye-catching wooden coffee table nestles down in the centre of the movie theatre space, whilst a sculptural tower of book storage makes a decorative visual stop at the back of the room.
The piano is nestled into an alcove beside a custom-made bar area, which has a fridge installed underneath it for movie snacks and beverages. Bespoke storage units crown the music nook with wood slatted texture.
